Is Clorox® Oxi Magic™ stain remover safe on nylon, silk and wool?
We do not recommend using Clorox® Oxi Magic™ stain remover powder on nylon, silk or wool. If in doubt about a garment, please use the colorfastness test described on the label.
Can Clorox® Oxi Magic™ stain remover be used to disinfect?
No. Clorox® Oxi Magic™ stain remover powder is not registered as a disinfectant with the E.P.A. Of course, Ultra Clorox® Regular bleach can be used as a disinfectant if the fabric is safe for sodium hypochlorite bleach.

As is the case with many household-cleaning products, the specific ingredients of Clorox® Oxi Magic™ stain remover powder are proprietary. We can tell you that Clorox® Oxi Magic™ stain remover powder contains sodium percarbonate and sodium carbonate to help penetrate and remove stains/soils.

We recommend following the label directions on the container for the appropriate amount of Clorox® Oxi Magic™ stain remover powder. Adding more may not generate better performance. No, Clorox® Oxi Magic™ stain remover spray is NOT the same as mixing Clorox® Oxi Magic™ stain remover powder with water. For Clorox® Oxi Magic™ stain remover powder, DO NOT leave dissolved solution in a sealed container. Clorox® Oxi Magic™ stain remover powder, when activated with water and stored, may lose its efficacy over time and may cause container to leak or rupture.
